Call for opens and IBIS related patent disclosures: - Bob: Need to discuss a few parser bugs - Eckhard: IQ checklist - Mike: Unable to meet March 6, the next scheduled date - Next Feb 28 AR Review: - None New items: Mike showed the IQ checklist AR: Mike update online IQ 2.0 checklist to eliminate proprietary content Mike showed PyBIS - Mike: - I am unable to run the software - It requires other Python modules, some install OK - The OrderedDict module doesn't work in Cygwin - The README does not help with info on how to install and run - Bob: Matlab has some of the same version compatibility issues - The EMC group in Europe has a tool that shows pinouts - Mike: This might adapt IBIS to FSV software - We might encourage a student to work on that - Anders: We don't know if it represents IBIS accurately - Free versions of software may not perform well - Our tools page may be promoting companies too much Mike showed the IBIS Free Tools page - Anders: Some of these border on promotion of commercial tools - Mike: We could have a policy of having only tools uploaded to our page - Bob: The opposite would be better, only linking to tools - We have not linked some tools from Italy - One is a quality checker - Students have done good work on IBIS - An NCSU student has a paper on Surrogate IBIS models - Ambrish wrote s2ibis3 at NCSU - Our parser is more than a syntax checker - Anders: A large number of free tool links that don't work well does not help our cause - Mike: Having a number of free tools might give an unwarranted perception that all you need is free tools for IBIS - A number of these tools have serious shortcomings - Bob: Some tools might have checks that are someone elses opinion - Mike: The cookbook information is spread around the site inconsistently Touchstone bug found by Eckhard: - Bob: The smaller testcase for this is good enough - I will file the TSIRD Next meetings: - Next meetings Feb 28 and Mar 13 Feb 28 agenda: - Effect of free IBIS tools on IBIS quality Meeting ended at 12:18 Eastern Time.
